Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Combine canned peaches, sugar, and water in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until bubbling.
While your peaches cook, prep the batter.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder.
Add in milk and melted butter and combine thoroughly.
Pour batter into a 9×13 casserole dish.
Pour hot fruit mixture on top and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes until starting to brown on top.
Allow to cool and enjoy on its own or with a dollop of vanilla ice cream or a sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
If I have a boat load of fresh peaches, can I use it instead of canned? If so any prep to make it work for this recipe?
I think fresh peaches should work just as well! The end result will probably have a bit less moisture to it, but should still be delicious 🙂
This looks heavenly! I’m a home baker as well. Would love to try this!
I hope you do and hope you love it!
